On "Detritus" "Small Things on Sundays" works in their noisier and more free-improvised collage style. The Copenhagen duo has a „modus operandi" only using records from car-boot-sales, bad pop-records, disco 12's, classical, test-records…...
Over the years Small Things on Sundays has developed their turntablism skills, and created their own techniques: "Wrong Speed", "Nearly not touching" (refering to objects placed under the vinyl and the stylus raised above the surface), "random", "Random loops" "Stalling by hand" or the opposite "Fast forward" and so forth... and, of course, a lot of computerised treatments.
"Detritus" is the third album exposing our deconstructions of recorded culture, and
the nearest, and perhaps most daring, description of our efforts, is "Faust Tapes" for the +2000 generations. If you like this, you need to check out the tapes "Drill" (2012) and "Debris" (2012) (you can find them on our Bandcamp page).
